Paula K. Stacy, age 62, of Ashkum, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 7, 1959 in Ottawa, the daughter of Paul and Alberta (Kinkade) Hilsabeck. Paula was fond of gardening, listening to all kinds of music, and playing cards and games. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved her cats. Most of all, Paula adored spending time with all her family. Paula is survived by one son, Paul (Marie) Stewart, of Ashkum; one daughter, Nona (Scott) Phillips, of Bourbonnais; two grandchildren, Erin and Alec Phillips; one sister, Karla (Stan) Hester, of San Antonio, TX; and one brother, Dale Hilsabeck, of Kankakee. She was preceded in death by her parents. Per Paula’s wishes, her body will be donated to science. Arrangements are being handled by Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee.
