Kristin Benson

Kristin Leigh Benson, age 32, and her unborn daughter, Hannah Grace Huseman, both of Bourbonnais, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Riverside Medical Center Emergency Room. Kristin was born June 29, 1984 in Kankakee, the beloved daughter of Curtis & Julie Goreham Benson. Kristin was a 1998 graduate of St. Patrick & St. Teresa Catholic Grade School and then continued her education at Stoughton High School in Stoughton, WI. Kristin loved to read from a young age. She especially enjoyed the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series. She also loved animals and music. Kristin enjoyed crochet and was the one to teach her younger sister her first stitches. Kristin was a kind and giving soul. If someone was hungry, she wanted to find them a meal. She was always willing to help those who needed something. She had a wonderful spirit and a laugh that was truly contagious. It will be greatly missed. Surviving are three sons, Jacob Boettcher, Owen Huseman, and Adam Huseman; one daughter, Elizabeth Huseman; one sister, Anna Benson of Janesville, WI; one brother, Erik Benson of Stoughton, WI; her companion of 12 years, Lucas Huseman; her parents, Curtis & Julie Benson of Janesville, WI; her paternal grandparents, Russ & Sandra Benson of Kankakee; maternal grandmother, Gladys Goreham of Kankakee; one uncle, Chris & RoseMarie Benson of Bourbonnais; one aunt, Janine & Mark Reich of Beldenville, WI; and several cousins. Hannah is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Trisha Love of Monroe, WI; her paternal grandfather, Donnie Huseman of Monroe, WI; and three aunts, Jamie & Dane Rowe, Kayla Huseman, and Olivia Huseman, all of Monroe, WI; and cousins. Kristin is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wilfred Goreham. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Pastor Mark Quanstrom will officiate the service. Visitation will also be held from 12:00 pm. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Faith Community Church; 2931 Lucerne Drive, in Janesville, WI, 53545. Rev. Gary Shields will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Fulton Cemetery in Edgerton, WI. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army and Angel's Wish, Verona, WI.
