Carol Korstick Jackson

Visitation for Carol Jackson, 79, of Bourbonnais will be from 2 - 6 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, Illinois. Her funeral mass will be on Monday, October 17 at 10:00 AM at Maternity BVM Church, Bourbonnais, IL. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kankakee, IL. Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. She died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at her home in Bourbonnais. Carol was an RN for many years for Drs. Burnett, Arocha & Learned in Kankakee. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on March 6, 1932, the daughter of Jesse and Gladys (Gough) Warren. Her family moved to Bradley in 1943 and she graduated from St. Patricks High School, Class of 1950, and from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1953. She married Armand Korstick on October 15, 1955 in Bradley. Armand died January 23, 1981. Carol married Charles "Chuck" Jackson on June 16, 1984 in Kankakee, Illinois. Surviving are her husband of Bourbonnais; daughter and son-in-law, Lori (Mark) Anderson of Limestone; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff (Sharon) Korstick, Beverly Hills, FL; son and his partner Bill Korstick and Clemente Ladrido of Los Angeles, CA and stepsons & their wives, Mark (Debbie) Jackson of Kankakee and Steven (Jennifer) Jackson of Limestone. Also surviving are her sister, Helen Crosman of Bloomington,, IL and brothers Bill Warren of Normal, IL; Norman Warren (Sylvia) of Ruidoso, NM and brothers-in-law Jerry Jackson, Kankakee, Ed (Mary) Jackson of Manteno and sister-in-laws Wanda Jackson of Kankakee and Barbara Schmidt of Burnsville, MN. In addition, she is survived by five (5) grandchildren; Steve (Brandy) Pepin of Kankakee, Jamie Marek of Plainfield, IL, Scott Korstick of Beverly Hills, FL, Kristin (Mike) Sinopoli of Citrus Springs, FL and Kim (Tom) Jackson of Homosassa, FL, 6 step grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Tom Warren; a sister, Ruth Ann Jackson; a sister-in-law Joanne Warren; and brothers-in-law Bob Crosman and Jim Schmidt. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, puzzle books, baking, QVC and her lovable cat, CJ. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and for over 50 years of the Forget-Me-Not Club.
