George Rouleau

Visitation for George Louis Michael Rouleau, 82, of Sun City, Ariz., former resident of Manteno and Mokena, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno.Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Manteno. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, Manteno Historical Society, or Masses, would be appreciated. He died Thursday (March 19, 2009) in Peoria, Ariz.Mr. Rouleau was employed by Shell Oil from 1950-1985. He was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Turton, S.D., the son of Joseph and Odile Remily Rouleau. His first wife, the former Mary Lou Elberts, whom he married Nov. 22, 1952, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wilton Center, died July 4, 2001. He was a graduate of Manteno High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He was past president of the North Products Pipeline Employees Association and Manteno Historical Society. He was a former member and usher of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno, and had been a volunteer escort at Provena St. Mary's Hospital. He was an avid Notre Dame fan.Surviving are his loving wife, Linda Regnier-Rouleau of Sun City, whom he married April 3, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno; daughters, Renee (Jeffrey) Specht of Wilmington, Joyce (Ernie) Muzzillo of Algonquin, Mary Rouleau of Bourbonnais; son, Rodney (Cheryl) Rouleau of Manhattan; stepson, Jay (Renee) Regnier of Bourbonnais; grandchildren, Adam (Amy) Specht, April (Gordan) Redzic, Jennifer (Brent) Marsh, Kristi Lail, Christopher Muzzillo, Eric Blanchette, Matthew and Sarah Vickery, Krystal (Adam) Ferrari, Amber Rouleau, Derek and Trevor Regnier; sister, Jeanette Hilton of Grosse Ile, Mich.; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Werner of Monee and Donna (Stanley) Loebaka of Hayward, Wis.; and brother and sisters-in-law, Gene and Darlene Bertrand of Bonfield, June Bertrand of Kankakee, and JoAnn Bosman of Texas.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Zephryn and Eunice Rouleau; two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Clara Louise Rouleau, Frances and Gerald Hildebrandt, Maynard Werner and James Hilton.
