Lloyd LaVoie -- BourbonnaisVisitation for Lloyd T. LaVoie, 83, of Bourbonnais, will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, west Kankakee. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, where he was a member.Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Grade School. He died Wednesday (May 9, 2007) at his residence. Mr. LaVoie was a retired distributor for Standard Oil Co. He was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Ashkum, the son of Edward and Eva Anderson LaVoie. His first wife, the former Lorraine Ruder, whom he married Feb. 7, 1948, in Kankakee, died Nov. 20, 1997. He later married the former Dolores Wallrich Aug. 26, 2000. She died Jan. 18, 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Moose. He enjoyed socializing, going for coffee with his friends and playing cards. He was an avid Cubs fan.Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Kathy LaVoie of Bourbonnais, Kurt and Mary LaVoie of Buckingham; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Cynthia and Dennis Bossinger of Bourbonnais, Brenda and James Groth of Sedona, Ariz., Kristine and Gary Schmitz of St. Anne, Sandra LaVoie and her fiance, John Maguire of Kankakee, Jodi and Timothy Ryan of Bourbonnais; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Michael and Paula Wallrich of Darien; two stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Paula and Clay Hosh, and Gail and John Sturm, all of Frankfort; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Gerald and Karen LaVoie of Prescott, Ariz., Ida Mae LaVoie of Eustis, Fla.; special friend, Patricia Layne of Manteno; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elaine Ziemer of Kankakee, Beatrice and Paul Hinderer, Dorothy and Richard Schnell, all of Bourbonnais, Jerome and Donna Ruder of Herscher, Gerald and Lucy Ruder of Wilmington, Betty and Bob Sicard of Summerfield, Fla., Joan and Bob Cowgill of Clermont, Fla., and Audrey Kyrouac and Lynn Ruder, both of Bourbonnais.Deceased are one son, Brian; two granddaughters; one brother, Wayne LaVoie; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Bernard Ruder and Harold Ziemer; and one sister-in-law, Evelyn LaVoie.
