Morgan Ashley Greenfield

Morgan Ashley Greenfield, 32, of Bourbonnais, passed away Saturday, July 22 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL. Her partner, Josh Themer, was by her side at her passing, along with his family. Also by her side was uncle Tom Greenfield and wife Holly Greenfield. Morgan was born on December 14, 1990, in Tulsa, OK, daughter to Peter and Dina Greenfield. Surviving are her father, Peter Greenfield, of Tulsa, OK.; grandparents Bob and Millie Gilbert, of Tulsa, OK.; uncle John Greenfield, of Dallas, TX.; aunt Carol Childers, of St. Louis, MO.; uncle Tom Greenfield and wife Holly Greenfield, of Bourbonnais, IL.; cousin Milo Greenfield, wife Kayle Greenfield, and son Nolan Greenfield of San Diego, CA.; cousins Brennan DeLoache and Hailey Greenfield, of Bourbonnais, IL.; partner Josh Themer, of Bourbonnais, IL.; extended family Scott and wife Noelle Themer, of Bourbonnais, IL.; Zachary Themer, of Chicago, IL.; and Jordan Themer, of Bourbonnais, IL. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dina Greenfield, of Tulsa, OK.; brother Mathew Greenfield, of Chicago, IL. Eight years ago, in 2015, Morgan fell head over heels in love and headed back to Bourbonnais after a short stint in Tulsa, OK. Upon her return to Bourbonnais, Morgan moved in with the Themer family, who opened their home to her and took her in as one of their own. She loved each member of their family very deeply and they loved her just as equally. Morgan was one of the most sweet, loving, and beautiful people that you could ever wish to meet. She was the type of person that would put everyone else’s needs before her own. Anyone that knew Morgan knew that she would do anything under the sun to help her friends or family. She was an organ donor. Morgan attended Vet Tech Institute at Fox College in Tinley Park, IL. She had a very deep love and passion for all animals from a very young age. All throughout her life, Morgan was notorious for rescuing and bringing home any stray animal that needed care or did not have a home. She would bring home dogs, cats, bunnies, racoons, and yes, even a duck at one point. Shortly after completing her education, Morgan began working for a local animal hospital doing exactly what she loved – caring for and loving animals. Morgan also had a very creative soul and had a great talent for the arts, such as drawing and painting. Her knack for artistry was superb. Morgan was very special and very loved by so many people and touched many lives in her short life. She was an angel on Earth and will continue to be one in the afterlife. Morgan may no longer be here with us physically, but she will continue to live on for eternity in our hearts. We will all miss her dearly. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials may be made to Family Wishes.
