Sarah (Reilly) Sutter, age 51, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Sarah was born on January 23, 1975, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Patrick and Peggy Reilly. She embraced motherhood early in life, always putting her family first. Though she never completed college, she built a meaningful and hardworking life. Over the years, she worked as a phlebotomist, an in-home babysitter, a patient scheduler, and later a claim specialist with Marsh McLennan. No matter the role, she brought compassion, kindness, and dedication to everything she did. On July 3, 1998, she married the love of her life, Danny Sutter. Their marriage was one of deep love, partnership, and commitment. Together they built a life centered around family, supporting one another through every season. Danny was her constant source of strength, and Sarah was his heart. Their love was the foundation for what became a home filled with love, laughter, and resilience. She is survived by her devoted husband, Danny Sutter; her three daughters: Haleigh (Tyler) Guertin and their daughter Navy; Maddison, her fiancé Shane Haas, and their daughter Rowyn; Molly and her fiancé Will Smith; her two brothers, Jeff (Chris) Reilly and Craig (Anne) Reilly; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Sarah found immense joy in being a wife, a mother, and a Gigi—roles she cherished above all. She had a deep love for her dogs and treasured time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and keeping a clean and welcoming home. After her diagnosis, she made a point to cherish the little things, often taking motorcycle rides with her husband and going hammocking—these moments together meant everything to her. She never passed up a sweet treat or a comforting cup of chai tea. Sarah will be remembered as a fun, caring, devoted, passionate, loving, and selfless person. Her positivity and warmth touched everyone she met, and she had a unique ability to make people feel seen, supported, and loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy and Patrick Reilly, and her brother, Adam Reilly. Sarah’s memory will live on through her loving husband, the family she adored, and the countless people she touched with her kindness. Cremation rites have been accorded.
