Sheila L. LaGesse, 61, of Bradley, died Monday (Aug. 15, 2005) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, where she was a member. Rev. Anthony Nugent will officiate. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation. Mrs. LaGesse retired from National City Bank. She was born Nov. 8, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth J. and Margaret L. Lemmon O'Brien. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her wire fox terriers, Humphrey and Hanna. She enjoyed sports, especially the Chicago White Sox and Bulls. Surviving are her husband, Michael J. LaGesse, whom she married Oct. 30, 1982, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Michelle Morgan of Kankakee; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Lynn Hall of Mt. Prospect; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Daniel F. and Mary O'Brien of Minnetonka, Minn., Lynn O'Brien of Bourbonnais; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ronald and Betty LaGesse of Bourbonnais, Gerald and Gail LaGesse of Paducah, Ky., Arlene Mitchell and Jean and Sam Azzarelli, all of Kankakee, Margaret and Harold Frechette of Bourbonnais, Marilyn and Tom Savoie of Bradley; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her parents and one brother, Kenneth J. O'Brien.
