Patricia "Pat" Norton

July 5, 1941 - February 10, 2022

Patricia “Pat” Norton, age 80, of Normal, formerly of Herscher, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at her home. She was born July 5, 1941 in Chicago, the daughter of Patrick & Mae (Daily) Woulfe. Pat married Burry Norton on May 15, 1969 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2020 after 51 years of marriage. 1959 graduate of St. Catherine of Siena High School.Pat worked for 16 years and retired in 2001 from Westwood Obstetrics where she made many friends. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling in her younger years, and more recently watching old movies and talking with friends. Pat loved spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as attending their many activities. She had a genuine caring heart and a smile for everyone she met. Most of all, Pat loved to laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her children, Kelly & Jim Cox of Herscher, Kevin & Jennie Norton of Herscher, Kim & Tony Bankston of Normal, and Kris & Pete Cipparrone of Downers Grove; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Diane & Ron Kilman of Effingham; and step daughter-in-law, Theresa Gibbons of Batavia. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. Deacon Jim Kelly will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Kankakee Memorial Gardens in Aroma Township. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church of Merna.
