Holle Tousignant

Holle Ann Tousignant, 49, of Kankakee, passed away peacefully Sunday (June 1, 2014) at the University of Chicago Medical Center after a long courageous battle of leukemia. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Additional visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday until the 10 a.m. funeral services at College Church of the Nazarene North Campus, 897 W. 6000N Road, Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will follow the services. Holle was born Oct. 20, 1964, in St. Anne, the daughter of Andrew and the late Shirley (nee Kremer) Pristach. She was employed by CSL Behring and was very proud of her 25 years of service. Holle is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Kenneth Tousignant, whom she married June 18, 1988, in Wichert; and was the proud mother of two loving sons, Aaron and Gavin, both of Kankakee. She is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Chris (Jill) Pristach, of Kankakee; one sister, Tina Pristach Patrick, of Tucson, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Cindy Tousignant Swaim, of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Mike Tousignant, of Kankakee; nieces, Anna Pristach, of Kankakee, and Amie (Jeff) Miksta, of Arizona; nephews, Jacob Pristach, of Kankakee, Ryan and Wesley Patrick, of Arizona, Luke and Mitch Tousignant, of Dwight; her father and stepmother, Andrew and Kathleen Pristach, of St. Anne; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Jerry Tousignant, of St. Anne. She had several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends she loved dearly. Holle was preceded in death by her beautiful mother, Shirley (nee Kremer) Pristach; maternal grandmother, Cora Kremer Nesbitt, and grandfather, Austin Kremer; and paternal grandmother, Elvetta Pristach. Holle enjoyed life to the fullest each day. She loved her family and friends. She especially loved being a Mother and took great pride and joy in being with and raising her two sons. She loved raising dogs and horses, gardening, baking, crafts, reading and attending the Chicago Bears games in warm weather unless they were in the playoffs. She was loved by all and greeted everyone with her big bright eyes and a smile on her face. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or for the education of her sons.
